Kirsten Wing, LCSW

Kirsten Wing is a Licensed Clinical Social Working who is highly influenced by Somatics and Yoga Therapy. Having received her certification in Kundalini Yoga Teacher Training, Svastha Yoga Teacher Training (based on the teachings of Krishnamacharya) Inner Peaces Yoga Therapy and Ayurvedic Wellness Counselor through Kerala Ayurveda. Kirsten is a member of IAYT the International Association of Yoga Therapists and NAMA the National Ayurvedic Medical Association. Trained in EMDR, Brainspotting, Motivational Interviewing,  DBT, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy among other therapies.

Offering Individual integrative mind- body therapy to address depression, anxiety, trauma, grief and loss and addictions. Specialized small yoga groups offer a healing environment for clients to have their unique mind-body spirit experience guided by therapeutic principles from the mental health field and the wisdom of Yoga and Ayurveda. The four groups are

RAY : Recovery  Ayurveda and Yoga, Y12SR: The Yoga of 12-step Recovery ;

TGY: Transforming Grief through Yoga and Yoga Narratives. 

  RAY: Recovery through Ayurveda and Yoga offers a format for one to understand the doshas relative to the physical body, individual habits and emotional responses. Understanding the constitutional type supports adapting yoga practices for the individual, including asanas, pranayama, and meditaiton. The doshas and gunas help to us to understand the needs and vulnerabilities underlying addiction. TGY: Transforming Grief through Yoga offers a safe space to process Grief, the natural response to Loss. Using the body centered practice of yoga we are able to address physical, emotional and spiritual symptoms of grief to support the experience of grief itself, while beginning the healing transformation process.

Y12SR: The Yoga of 12stepRecovery

Yoga Narratives: Everyone has a story in which they live by and sometimes these narratives limit our beliefs, abilities and joy in life through old patterns. Yoga in combination with therapeutic principles offers the a mind-body-spirit connection to rewrite our stories. Through the group process we will use yoga, writing and meditation to identify what is no longer serving us in our current narrative. A journey of self healing and wholeness.

Ayurveda is the Science of Life and is a traditional system of healing that encompasses diet, self-care, aromatherapy, yoga, meditation, sound healing and mantra among other areas of healing. Ayurveda is about living in balance. addressing the whole person, her lifestyle and the mind, body, spirit as a single unit. Using this ancient wisdom, we will look at your dosha
