Kirsten Wing

Kirsten is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has been of service since graduating from the University of Hawaii in 1997 with a Master of Social Work. Her interest in integrative medicine has led to the continued study of yoga as therapy with emphasis on the Breath or Pranayama and Meditation. Kirsten has attended meditation retreats in Nepal and has studied with esteemed Rinpoches in the United States. The study of Ayurveda has given a broader understanding of yoga,  Vedic knowledge and human behavior.

EMDR or Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing is an integrative psychotherapy approach that can be effective for the treatment of trauma or reprocessing core beliefs that may inhibit present or future goals.

  • Bachelor of Social Work from Jane Addams College of Social Work, University of Illinois, Chicago (1994)

  • Master of Social Work from the University of Hawaii, Manoa (1997) with an emphasis on Rural Health, Cultural Competency  and Hawaiian Health  Concerns.
